Although not always used for serving cocktails, it is used so often that it plays an important role in any cocktail glassware set. The long stem of the Goblet is also useful for serving blended cocktails without ice, ensuring the drinker’s hand does not come into contact with the body of the glass. It is often used to serve frozen Margaritas as an alternative to a Coupette (or ‘Margarita glass’). In order to ensure a Goblet can be used for serving both wine and cocktails, look for a capacity of at least 8.5oz (25cl). A more generous capacity of 11oz (32cl) can be even better for serving different cocktails. All in all, the Goblet forms an essential part of any bartender’s glassware collection. Related Content
