As its name suggests, it is ideal for serving liquors (such as whisky) and cocktails 'on the rocks'. Just like the Old-fashioned glass, the Rocks offers a small amount of space to pour the liquor over the ice, making it easy to control visually the quantity of alcohol you are adding. Similar to the Old-fashioned, it is more resistant, making it better suited for muddling ingredients directly in the glass. A size of around 10oz (30cl) is ideal for this type of glass.
