This cocktail\'s a corker! Loving the mix of mint, almond and oranges with lashings of rum... Could drink this all day long. Cheers
My buddies made me drink 5 of these in a row on my birthday last year. Felt sick for most of the evening... My advice? Stick to one shot.
Cosmopolitan - 1 About this CocktailType: Martini Cocktails Also known as: Cosmo The Cosmopolitan cocktail (or Cosmo) combines cranberry, citrus and vodka. This sweet pink drink was popularized in the 1990s by the TV show 'Sex in the City', in which its main character Carrie Bradshaw favoured Cosmos over Martinis. Although there are versions dating back to the early 1930s, the earliest relative appears to be a drink created by Ocean Spray in the 1960s called the Harpoon, which combined vodka, fresh cranberry and lime juce. In the 1980s, Cheryl Cook claims to have created the Cosmopolitan at The Strand bar in Miami, USA. Her recipe was based on citrus vodka and Rose’s lime cordial. A few years later, Toby Cecchini is said to have replaced lime cordial with fresh lime juice while working at the Passerby bar in New York. This recipe is the most popular today.
